Just started cycling again after 18 years away. Found myself at age 40, a little over weight and out of shape. I tried the gym membership but it just didnt do it for me. Then I remembered how much I enjoyed cycling when I was younger and I havent looked back. I picked up a mountain bike in March and have been enjoying myself ever since.
My overall goal is to get back in shape and feel good about my body again. By next season I want to be competing in endurance type mountain bike races. There are several local 8 and 12 hour events that I am eager to tackle.
Until then, I will enjoy each and every ride I can get in.
